The AIGA Honolulu Chapter hosts the Hawaii’s 5-O Design Award Show every two years. The 5-O Design Competition and Award Show gives industry recognition to graphic works created here in the past two years. It is Hawaii’s only competition specifically for designers.

The judges first select the best fifty works out of the entries. These are awarded the “Award of Excellence.” (Print includes annual reports, calendars, stationery, books, brochures, catalogs, newsletters, posters, invitations, announcements, and packaging.) Two of Clarence Lee Designs works received this award. One for the “JTB Hawaii Oli Oli Station Ala Moana” (environmental graphics & signage) and one for CLD’s own “CLD Sales Promotion” Folder.

Out of the top 50, five are then selected for special recognition. CLD was honored to receive one of the “Top 5″ trophies for its “Hilton Grand Vacations Guest Collateral” (total visual design).
